Part-Time Floater - Opening Support and Classroom Coverage

- Assist with opening the childcare center each morning to ensure a smooth start to the day.
- Provide direct support in the 2-year-old classroom until full staff coverage is in place.
- Help with morning routines such as classroom setup, snack preparation, supervision, and transitions.
- Remain available to support other classrooms and age groups beyond the morning shift as needed.
- Adapt quickly to changing assignments and responsibilities based on daily operations.
- Collaborate with a variety of teachers and staff across multiple classrooms.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all children in your care.
- Monitor and guide children’s behavior using positive communication and redirection strategies.
- Report any safety concerns promptly to administration or lead staff.
- Maintain professional communication with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Work as part of a team to keep routines consistent across classrooms.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
- Follow all Church Childcare Center policies and procedures.
- Comply with state licensing regulations and complete required training and certifications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the center.
- High school diploma or North Carolina Early Childhood Credential required.
- Previous childcare or early education experience preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and a passion for supporting children’s growth.
- Flexibility and adaptability to assist in multiple classrooms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, push, and carry children up to 50 lbs.
- Successful completion of background checks and screenings as required by state law.
